Chinatown Walking Tours

CHSNE apologizes and will have to continue to put tours on pause. We hope to have news and resume them soon.

Historic Chinatown Tours visit sites that were significant in the founding and development of Boston’s Chinatown. Tour guides will provide information about the early settlers, growth of the community, and the impact of public policies on the neighborhood through highway and institutional expansion and urban renewal. These tours focus on Chinatown prior to 1965.

Private Tours for Groups

CHSNE offers private Historic Chinatown Tours for groups of 10 or more. For groups over 25, you will need to reserve two tour guides.

When tours resume:
CHSNE’s tour season runs from April through October. The 90-minute tours are given by trained volunteers, scheduled by appointment, and may be customized as requested. For 2024, tour rates are $20/person, with a discounted rate of $15/person for students or CHSNE members. Please submit tour requests at least two weeks in advance.

Please email info@chsne.org or call the CHSNE office at 617-338-4339 with any questions.
